Vägmärket talar om vad som är det högsta tillåtna trippelaxeltryck för ett fordon för att det ska få passera, i detta fall är det 20 ton. Trippelaxeltryck är den vikt som hjulen i en trippelaxel för över till vägen. I praktiken är det bara förare av tunga fordon (exempelvis lastbil eller buss) som måste ta hänsyn till detta vägmärke.
