Tunnel

This road sign indicates that the road passes through a tunnel. When the sign shows a distance, it tells you how far it is to the end of the tunnel. In longer tunnels, the sign may be repeated after each kilometre. The distance shown then decreases as you drive through the tunnel, so you can see how much of the tunnel remains. The tunnel's name and total length may also be shown on the sign.
